Remember when track bikes were cool?

Just finished up a week from hell. Probably the hottest I can remember for a while. I was up early today feeling like 14.65 so I thought to myself, "should I go out and improve my fitness as the season approaches?"

Nope. I went to brunch.

Now, I know that doesn't seem to make sense, but it will in a bit. I met my dad for some food and got to catch up a bit. On the way out of brunch I bumped into Captain Whore-Hay and Guy and the human rocket on a ride. See, I patronize the sponsor bar for brunch while the guys get out and train. Good for the team, good for our sponsors. I for one can't wait to get out and race a bit not that I'm gonna do well, but I have a good time.
Our jerseys are due in soon, which is pretty awesome, outside of that not much new in Scum City land. More announcements soon. and hopefully a team photo soon.

Well, another early saturday, another side of corned beef hash. Got lots of bike work to do today, which is gonna be fun, I hope. crank change and the ensuing chain shortening the usual stuff. Locking down a fundraiser date next week so we can take some of your hard earned dough and line our empty wallets for a spell. So, NEOCX just "dropped" the hint of dates for racing for the fall. This means I have a few really important things to do

1. Prepare to fail
2. Find annoying music to blare at the A group.
3. Come up with team drink.

Anyone around here got a spare steak sandwich?

Jerseys are ordered, cross bike will be up and moving next week. All in all no real complaints to lodge aside from the new crop of guys aimlessly riding around downtown, but that happens every summer no matter what. Finally got a computer with a hard drive so I can go back to listening to music as I can store things digitally. Crazy concept I know, right? A hard drive. I heard they work wonders.
So if you know me, feel free to advise me on new music. I'm pretty behind, but that happens from time to time to the best of us. How goes road racing this year? Yeah, I'm not paying attention. Instead I'm focusing my none to lazer gaze at cross. And by lazer, I mean shuffling looks in between Netflix movies.
Anyone start looking for cross tires yet? Yep, they're stupid expensive. Thinking of rolling on some Frids specials all season and not worrying.
Still looking for green bamboo. Can't seem to find a source locally, and shipping would be totally outrageous. Hrm, Oh well.

The order for the kits is about to be finalized. I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. What a pain in the ass though. Ugh. No thanks to anyone except Brian Roach. Cause he is the shit. I should also hope to have the new logos up by next week.

Another early Sunday for this guy. Feeling pretty good though, the free shipping weekend at the steep and cheap sites has been fun to track, not many winners though. Figured out my crank problems for cross next year, still gonna go singlespeed even if it kills me. I'm just hoping its a division next year. Otherwise I fully expect to get beaten by high school kids and possibly one guy on a unicicyle. Jersey orders are monday, if you snooze on this one, you're dumb. because they're amazing. This year has been flying by for me, way faster than last summer. Soon it'll be fall again. Did we have a spring? Eh, who knows I'm babbling. Joy machines opened up on Friday, and I heard it was a smashing success, I could not come through yet, but I promise to drop in Monday. Went on a nice ride yesterday, got that done. Outside of that it's lots of work, work, work.
As my thoughts shuffle to brunch I tell you my two readers to have a nice Sunday, and get out there, the trails should be muddy as shit.
